Audi TT Dashboard Light Symbols

Dashboard warnings on your Audi TT Mk2 depend on the Audi Problem. It could be an indicator light for ABS, airbag, engine light or something else. There are many reasons why the dashboard shows warning lights and below is a list of the lights on the dashboard. You might need to buy a scanner online which will show Audi  trouble codes & reset the warning light for good!

Audi TT airbag warning light - indicates a problem within the airbag system and needs to be checked out ASAP. You should use a diagnostic tool which covers the airbag system such as the iCarsoft i908 Multi System Scanner from the Audi airbag light section. Audi TT magnetic dash warning light - this warning lamp monitors the damping effect of the shock absorbers. If the warning indicator lights up during normal vehicle operation it represents a fault within the damoing system and should be checked out by either an Audi specialist or independent workshop.

Audi TT rear spoiler warning light - when illuminated this light indicates that the rear spoiler has been activated.
Audi TT parkbrake warning light

Audi TT parking brake warning light (RED) - the warning lamp lights up when the parking brake is applied with the ignition on. After the ignition has been switched off the lamp will stay on for about 30 seconds. The warning lamp will light up for about 30 seconds if the parking brake is applied with the ignition switched off.

The warning lamp should go out when the parking brake is released. If the warning lamp flashes continuously after the parking brake has been applied, the brake may not be strong enough to hold the vehicle on a slope. This may be due to the brakes overheating.

Please note the following points:

• If the gradient is too steep to park the vehicle safely, the display will show the message Caution: Vehicle parked too steep.

• In the event of a fault in the parking brake system the symbol will also appear in the instrument cluster display together with the message Parking brake! You should have the fault corrected by a qualified workshop without delay.

Audi TT EPC warning light (engine management light) - this will illuminate when the engine is switched on and the go out. If this light comes on when driving it indicates a fault within the engine management system. Once you have obtained the trouble code it will give you a better idea of what the problem may be so it can be fixed and the light on the dashboard extinguished. Audi TT brake or ABS warning light - this will illuminate if there is either a problem within the ABS system (see the ABS light for more info) or if the brake fluid is too low. Check your brake fluid and top up if needed, if not you can use a scan tool which will gain access to the ABS module - such as the iCarsoft i908 Multi System Scanner kit.

Audi TT hold assist warning light (GREEN) - Audi hold assist helps the driver to keep the vehicle stationary while the engine is running, for instance on steep gradients, at traffic lights or in stop-and-go traffic. When the Audi hold assist function is on, you don't have to keep your foot on the brake to prevent the vehicle from accidentally rolling away. Once it detects that the vehicle is stopped, Audi hold assist keeps the vehicle stationary. The GREEN symbol in the instrument cluster indicates that the function is activated. You can now take your foot off the brake pedal.

Audi TT cruise control warning light - will illuminate when the scruise control has been activated.

Audi TT lane assist warning light - the yellow lane assist warning light will illuminate when the system IS active, but you will not receive any warning if you cross the lane markings.
