We had a request from a customer who wanted to diagnose & reset the alarm system in his 2002 Porsche Boxster S 986. His question was as follows
Hi. I’m looking for a “code reader” for my 2002 Porsche 986 Boxster S. I have a pre-existing fault on my alarm (possibly microswitch) so looking for something that can read alarm codes? Any recommendations? Currently looking at icarsoft POR V1.0.
The POR V1.0 (as shown below and what the customer bought) will allow the user to diagnose the alarm system and reset the alarm system. It will show the user unique Porsche fault codes, and also a description of the fault.
It also serves as a health check tool, allowing the user to diagnose all systems within the vehicle (like engine, abs, airbags, transmission etc) and also carry out an oil service reset.
