We had a request from a customer who wanted to check the over rev report on his Porsche Cayman 987.1, but this also works on the 997. His question was as follows
Hi Looking at this for a 2007 Porsche Cayman 987.1 Will this tool do the following:- Read out actual coolant temperature while engine running (the gauge on the dash is notoriously inaccurate on these Porsches), Read the stored “over rev” records for the motor?
The Foxwell NT530 PLUS kit as shown below, will allow the user to check the over rev report on each of the 6 cylinders, giving a time since the last over rev, and how many times it has occured on each cylinder. This is very important for any Porsche owner or potential buyer as it will give an indication of the bore scoring condition within each cylinder.
It also serves as a Porsche health check tool, allowing the user to diagnose all systems within the vehicle (like engine, abs, airbags, transmission etc) and also carry out a wide range of service functions like DPF regeneration, Oil Service Reset, Suspension Calibration, New Battery Registration and a lot more depending on the vehicle.
