VW Mk6 Golf traction warning light ot ESP light - this indicates a fault with the traction control system. It could possibly flash when the car is driving over an icy or wet surface where traction os not at its best, the flashing means that the system is working to acheive best possible traction for the current road conditions. Drive for approx 15 minutes in 4th gear (manual gearbox) or select D if you have an automatic, at a speed of at least 70km/h or 45 MPH.

The light should then turn off.
